Katherine Wilburn

Katherine Wilburn joined Gagen MacDonald as a recent graduate of Boston University where she received a Master’s of Science in Corporate Communication. In her short time with the firm Katherine is already contributing to client work. Currently, she is providing writing support and exploring methods of social media that will assist in the implementation of a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system at Edison International, parent company to one of the largest electric utilities in the U.S., Southern California Edison.

Having lived in Europe and Africa, Katherine brings an international and cultural perspective to engagements with clients. While studying abroad in England, she interned at the International Press Office for Vivienne Westwood, a renowned British fashion designer. During her internship she used her networking skills to develop relationships with various media outlets, helped launch and promote a retrospective at the Victoria & Albert Museum honoring Vivienne’s 34 years in fashion and assisted in the planning and execution of a variety of events surrounding Paris Fashion Week.

Following her 2005 graduation from Wheaton College, Katherine spent fourth months volunteering in the West African country of Ghana. While in Ghana she taught English and AIDS/HIV awareness at a school and worked at a local orphanage.
