Lauren Kostas works with companies to achieve results by creating actionable plans to engage employees in delivering on the business strategy. Her areas of experience include helping clients’ visions and values become operational and enabling employees to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
For Edison International, Lauren is on the core team accountable for driving awareness, understanding and action to realize Edison’s newly articulated vision, values and guiding behaviors. Her work includes developing the roadmap and detailed action plans to establish the high-performance culture needed for Edison to achieve its business strategy.
Recently, Lauren was a leading member of the team that planned, coordinated and executed internal and external integration communications to realize the value of BASF Corporation’s $5.6 billion purchase of Engelhard Corp., a Fortune 1000 company. Assigned to the Integration Management Office, her responsibilities included leadership communications and orchestrating a global announcement cascade of information and customized meeting experiences in more than 30 locations on four continents.
For United Airlines, Lauren was the communications lead on the core team to transform the company’s Global Airport Operations by developing and implementing processes based on lean principles. In this role, she developed and executed internal communications strategies to provide frontline employees with critical information, help them successfully navigate the new operating environment and motivate them to actively support the new systems and processes.
Other clients for whom Lauren has delivered strategy execution include Textron Inc., Allstate Insurance and Baxter International, Inc.
Lauren began her career as an associate with Hughes & Luce, LLP law firm, in Dallas. Her practice area was business reorganization, where she counseled clients in turnaround situations.
