Morgan Marzec
Morgan Marzec’s ability to get to the heart of complex business issues, simplify change and create actionable plans helps Gagen MacDonald clients engage employees to improve operational performance.
Currently, Morgan is working with Edison International to inspire greater cross-functional collaboration and to instill a continuous improvement mindset among employees. Through a multi-dimensional culture change initiative, Morgan is working with Edison to bring its vision and values “to life” in meaningful ways for employees through increased leadership accountability, dialogue and corporate storytelling.
Previously, Morgan served in the Merger Integration Management Office for BASF's $5.6 billion acquisition of Engelhard Corporation. Working with leaders across six global business divisions, Morgan helped BASF implement a Global Change Communications Strategy to retain Engelhard talent and manage morale, keep employees informed throughout the integration and coordinate the announcement of decisions to all stakeholders worldwide. In addition to receiving the 2006 Gold SABRE Award for Change Management, the effort resulted in the successful integration of 99 Engelhard sites into the BASF system with minimal attrition of key talent.
Working with United Airlines’ Business Transformation Office, Morgan orchestrated an employee engagement campaign to implement sensitive operational changes and to achieve aggressive cost savings, while maintaining operational performance and customer service. The effort mobilized leaders, from the executive suite to front-line supervisors, across three business divisions and the entire global network of airports, resulting in $229 million in cost savings. Performance was 48.8 percent better than plan. The work was recognized by Melcrum and honored with a Strategic Communications Management Award for Excellence in Operational Improvements.
With Baxter Healthcare, Morgan led change management and communications for an initiative to redesign the company’s North American supply chain, to improve customer service and to reduce total delivery costs. Working with front-line employees, plant management and corporate executives, Morgan helped Baxter integrate planning across functions and developed a communications platform for leaders to manage employees through operational change. The effort resulted in $10 million in annual savings, a 20 percent reduction in inventory and 10 point improvement in customer order fill rates. The work received two Strategic Communications Management Awards for Excellence in Organizational Change and Most Significant Impact on the Business.
Other clients she has supported include American Standard, Dairy Management, International Truck & Engine Corporation, Johnson & Johnson, McDonalds, Rockwell Automation, Seyfarth Shaw, LLP., Textron, Weyerhaeuser and WM.
