GAGEN MACDONALD OFFERS "LEADING BOLD CHANGE" TRAINING
Facilitating Application of John Kotter’s Eight Steps to Leading Change in Organizations
(Chicago, IL – December 1, 2008) Gagen MacDonald announces a new offering “Leading Bold Change,” – an interactive learning program based on Our Iceberg Is Melting, the fable by Harvard Business School Professor, John Kotter, Ph.D. and Holger Rathgeber.
“Leading Bold Change” is a dynamic and fun way to integrate Kotter’s eight step process – first documented in his 1996 bestseller, Leading Change – for creating sustainable change in organizations. The training program prepares leaders at all levels to take action and mobilize employees toward realizing successful business transformations. Gagen MacDonald has four “Leading Bold Change” facilitators who have been certified by the International Speakers Bureau and John Kotter.
“Many of our clients all over the globe are challenged to cultivate innovation, implement more efficient systems and processes, reduce costs and shape high-performing cultures.” Maril Gagen MacDonald said. “John Kotter is regarded as the one of the world’s foremost authorities on leadership and change. When he parlayed his change research into the book and training program, we recognized the synergy with our work – turning strategies into results – and knew Leading Bold Change complemented our communications and training expertise.”
Why a story about penguins living on a melting iceberg?
"Our goal in writing Our Iceberg Is Melting was to draw on the incredible power of good stories to influence behavior over time—making individuals and their groups more competent in handling change and producing better results," Dr. Kotter writes at the end of the fable he coauthored with Holger Rathgeber, SVP of Human Resources at medical technology company Becton Dickinson in Germany. "One of the beauties of a good story is that it can induce action from a broad range of people in a manner quite different from most traditional professional books."
Organizations including MasterCard, Black & Decker and Kaiser Permanente have already implemented “Leading Bold Change” with remarkable results. To learn more about the training program, please contact Rose Gailey, (915) 727-7222, or Bob Garcia, (312) 206-9311.
