Research and Measurement

We believe in the power of good and accurate measurement. It tells us if our work is worth the effort and the investment. Our view on metrics and measurement is to build strong, conclusive research. In addition to using traditional research methods, we actively work with experts from all fields to redefine and build solutions to help organizations become more effective.

We have in-depth experience in using a variety of qualitative and quantitative techniques to measure our impact on business performance. We conduct all of our quantitative assessments—from design to analysis—using strict standards that ensure the validity and reliability of the survey results. Our qualitative assessments are conducted with equal rigor, trained interviewers and in-depth content analysis techniques.

Information Flow Assessment™ : A quantitative survey of employees organization-wide that identifies where information flow is blocked and provides an indication of underlying causes, as well as the impact that blockage has on business performance.

Information Flow Diagnostic Interview Protocol™ : A qualitative analysis that uncovers the fundamental reasons why employees don’t share strategic information within a critical group of employees.

Exploratory Assessments: A combination of interviews, focus groups and materials review to identify alignment issues, barriers to improvement and opportunities for change.

Communication Audits: An analysis of existing communication channels and activities to ensure material is timely and useful, and that messages are integrated, delivered effectively and cost-efficiently.

Communications Environment Survey: A proprietary, client-customized survey to evaluate the credibility and effectiveness of the communications environment and to identify the causal linkages between communications, behaviors and business metrics.

High Performance Index: A quantitative employee survey that shows causal linkages between observable behaviors relating to five dimensions of culture (leadership, management, teamwork, communications, and tools & training) and specific performance metrics.

Work Culture Analysis: A culture analysis that incorporates group, division or plant performance metrics to predict the ROI of improving select management and employee behavior.

Issue Identification and Improvement Process: Diagnostic analysis of multiple focus groups to identify issues employees perceive as making work easier or harder to accomplish.

Motivational Research: A series of discussion groups and interviews with employees to share opinions about their ideal work environment; used to identify strengths and weaknesses, as well as core values and guiding behaviors.
