Helen Paczkowski

Leadership development, change management, and communications devotee, data dork, passionate problem-solver for clients around the world

Helen Paczkowski brings over six years of diverse organizational development and research experience to the Gagen MacDonald team. She is the author of “Using Social Media as a Successful Internal Communication Channel” (PR News’ Digital PR Guidebook, Vol. 3).

Helen is currently working with a global pharmaceutical company to improve employee engagement and ensure successful execution of five key strategic priorities. Recently, Helen was the project manager for communications and change management activities for a global industrial chemical company during the preparation of a multi-billion dollar acquisition.

Prior to joining Gagen MacDonald, Helen worked as a senior consultant at Ketchum Pleon Change, where she developed and implemented communication and change initiatives within client organizations to build alignment between the workplace and marketplace. She began her consulting career in the organization research group at Oliver Wyman – Delta Organization & Leadership (formerly Mercer Delta Consulting). Helen also has experience in the areas of executive talent management, succession planning, organizational design and employee engagement.

Helen is training for this year’s Chicago Triathlon after her first competition just last year. She is originally from the East Coast, and spending as much time possible with friends and family is an important part of her life. Helen has an M.A in social-organizational psychology from Columbia University and a B.A. in economics from Rutgers University.

“Be glad of life, because it gives you the chance to love and to work and to play and to look up at the stars; to be satisfied with your possessions; to despise nothing in the world except falsehood and meanness, and to fear nothing except cowardice; to be governed by your admirations rather than by your disgusts; to covet nothing that is your neighbor’s except his kindness of heart and gentleness of manners; to think seldom of your enemies, often of your friends… and to spend as much time as you can, with body and with spirit. These are little guideposts on the footpath to peace.” – Henry Van Dyke
