As a member of the Building Capabilities team, Dan brings a wide array of experience originating from his time in the military. He is an accomplished organizational leader, performance problem solver, and broadly experienced human performance professional.
Dan has served in leadership roles in the telecommunications, financial services and government sectors. His consulting capabilities center on leadership development, organization development, training, business operations, and strategy. Dan has deep expertise in team facilitation, career transition coaching/consulting, leadership development, project management, and TQM. In addition, he has been certified to administer and interpret the MBTI and similar instruments.
Dan’s leadership was a significant factor in the effective implementation of Enhanced 911 service across the northeastern United States. Teams led by Dan have won recognition as being the “Best of the Best.” Dan also led the creation and implementation of a leadership development program that received international recognition as being the “Best and Brightest” blended learning solution by training industry thought leaders.
Dan’s passion is enabling others to succeed. He has effectively coached and mentored hundreds of people, helping them, among other things, assess career opportunities, implement job search strategies, and effectively manage the transition to a new job. Additionally, he facilitates a broad array of graduate and undergraduate classes at a number of colleges and universities.
Prior to his consulting career, Dan proudly served as an officer in the Army of the United States. He achieved distinction as a U.S. Army Ranger, and held leadership positions with the 82nd Airborne Division.
