Dan brings more than 30 years of consulting, training and coaching experience to the Building Capabilities practice team. He is passionate about the areas of organization development, change management, leadership development, and strategic planning for both profit and nonprofit organizations. He has been proud to work with many Fortune 500 organizations over the years, as well as over 50 libraries and nonprofit organizations.
Dan has worked internally as an organizational development professional for United Airlines, an electrical utility company, and Blue Cross Blue Shield. He also served as a lead consultant with the American Productivity and Quality Center, a global leader in business benchmarking and best practices for organizations in all industries. Although he is proud of all of the work he has done in the past, Dan takes special pride in the major roles he played in projects with libraries in Illinois, Tennessee, Missouri, Wisconsin, Ohio, North Dakota, New Mexico, and Indiana.
He is a guest lecturer on leadership development at the Dominican University Graduate School of Library Science as well as an adjunct instructor of psychology and leadership at the Illinois Institute of Art in Schaumburg.
Dan’s education includes a Bachelor of Science in Business from Purdue University, a Master of Science. in Educational Psychology, and doctoral studies in Adult Education from Indiana University.
