Drawing on 30 years of health care experience in education, leadership and organizational development, Janey complements the Building Capabilities team with her skills as an engaging coach, consultant, trainer and facilitator. She has helped hundreds of leaders and teams across the country by providing coaching, leadership training and development, retreat facilitation and conflict resolution.
Janey is known for her insight, humor, warmth and ability to help leaders and teams develop skills to create and maintain healthy and accountable working relationships and organizational cultures. She has supported and coached dozens of leaders to manage conflict and change more effectively as well as led team interventions for higher performance and effectiveness. She has served as a facilitator and national master trainer for programs focusing on communication, conflict resolution and accountability in the workplace.
She knows first-hand the daily challenges leaders face in complex and rapidly changing work environments. As a certified health coach and licensed provider of stress management tools through the HeartMath Institute, Janey also supports leaders in their personal health, well-being and work-life balance.
Janey received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from San Diego State University. She is certified as a Professional Co-Active Coach through the Coaches Training Institute and received her certification in Health Coaching from the National Society of Health Coaches. She is an adjunct faculty member with Seattle Pacific University, Center for Professional Studies.
