Kevin Scarbrough brings exceptional storytelling and visual expertise to Gagen MacDonald, devoting his time and energy to focusing on the details, so his clients, such as ITT, MillerCoors and Johnson & Johnson, don’t have to.
Kevin joined Gagen MacDonald after years in the trenches – at design firms, digital and advertising agencies, PR groups, corporations, and after 7 years as the founder and head of his own firm, Robot, Monster and Ghost, a graphic design studio working in web, print, animation, illustration and “miscellaneous mischief.” For Kevin, design is not an end result – it’s an ongoing and functional tool for his clients and partners. It’s a way to tell stories and an instrument for getting a point across more efficiently, and with greater impact. Kevin’s greatest strength is his ability to walk into a room knowing nothing, and come out with an idea to help others do their jobs in the most effective way possible. He gets down to the heart of what a client knows so he can deliver exactly what they need.
Kevin’s abilities are in large part due to his curiosity about, and devotion to, all things behind the scenes. He is not as interested in who built a bridge as he is in the gears and levers that will help those builders in the future. This interest extends to his expertise within the digital realm, where he focuses a keen eye on website layouts and measurement strategies to make the user experience so seamless as to make his role invisible.
With experiences so rich and diverse, Kevin is no stranger to ambiguity. You can count on him to create simple solutions for complex problems and provide clear direction in uncertain situations.
