Quyen Yuen brings 15 years of communications experience across a variety of industries, including consumer goods and pharmaceutical companies, to Gagen MacDonald. She thrives on creating leadership, reputation, women’s empowerment and sustainability campaigns that result in purposeful engagements for employees, consumers and other stakeholders.
Prior to joining Gagen MacDonald, Quyen was intimately involved in the communication strategy for one of Mondelez’s sustainability programs – Cocoa Life. Through the development of compelling thought leadership, she highlighted the powerful stories of female cocoa farmers in male-dominated farming communities, stories of fighting climate change and more. Quyen has also partnered with The Coca-Cola Company to deliver content that answered consumers’ common questions about the company’s beverages and ingredients.
Having partnered with numerous large and complex organizations, including Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Nestle, Teva, Bristol-Myers Squibb and Takeda, Quyen excels at creating centers of excellence, whether that’s leading company culture efforts or standardizing measurement and performance of communications programs. She also has managed executive communications for leaders, including speech, letter and presentation writing.
Quyen possesses a particular passion for visual storytelling, uncovering human truths and bringing people together to collaborate. Blending thoughtful analysis, intuition and a keen sense of her surroundings, she solves for client challenges and successfully delivers strategies that are impactful and resonate with intended audiences. She also loves to inspire her teams and those around her to be their best self at work and at home.
Quyen graduated magna cum laude with honors from American University, where she earned her B.A. in Public Communication and Economics. She is a Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association Rising Star.
