Sergio Torres

With over 16 years of Advertising and Marketing experience, Sergio brings a unique collection of talent, including Creative Direction, Design, Copywriting, Film Direction and Editing. His background includes experience on both the agency and client sides of the business, making him a valuable addition to Gagen MacDonald.

Prior to joining Gagen MacDonald, Sergio worked at several Retail and Marketing agencies throughout Chicago leading creative projects, including website design, email strategy, holiday campaigns and communication videos. He also worked in-house at OfficeMax leading their Design and Copywriting team overseeing in-store signing, catalog and preprint campaigns.

Sergio not only has a passion for Creative Direction, but also enjoys working as a Film Director and Editor creating motivational communication videos, as well as writing, directing and editing sketch comedy shorts for a website he runs.

As part of Gagen MacDonald’s creative team, Sergio helps bring communications to life through videos, presentations and print for Fortune 500 companies, including Bristol-Myers Squibb, G&W Laboratories and BD. Working closely with Gagen MacDonald consultants, Sergio offers a unique, creative perspective that helps enhance corporate communications through smart visuals and clean design.

Sergio’s creative work has earned him a number of awards including the 2008 Retail Advertising Conference RACie Award for his ULTA Grand Opening Campaign, two Best Film Awards for his 48 Hour Film Project entries in 2014 and 2016, and a Best Director Award in 2016.

Sergio received his B.A. in Marketing Communications with a concentration in Advertising and Copywriting from Columbia College Chicago. He’s also earned several certificates for design and film editing, including Adobe InDesign, PhotoShop, Illustrator, Final Cut Pro X and Motion 5.
