David Albritton is a Service-Disabled Veteran who spent 10 years as an officer in the U.S. Navy before transitioning into a variety of senior executive roles in Corporate Communications across the technology, automotive, aerospace & defense, retail and nonprofit sectors at companies such as General Motors, Amazon Web Services, ITT Defense, Raytheon, Hewlett-Packard, Sears, Roebuck & Co. and United Way of America over the following 25 years.
In addition to having served as Chief Communications Officer for Exelis Inc., he holds the distinction of being one of very few public relations executives to transition into the role of chief executive of a business division of a Fortune 25 company, serving as the President of General Motors Defense, the GM division that provides advanced automotive technologies to the global aerospace, defense and security markets. He was also recently elected as an independent director on the board of Embecta Corp., the Diabetes Care business of Becton, Dickinson and Company that spun off as a stand-alone publicly traded company in April 2022. He has now pivoted his career focus to become a strategic advisor and executive/career coach that leverages his passion, knowledge and business experience and expertise to support Gagen MacDonald with a range of client-facing services — such as workplace culture improvement, individual and team performance optimization, leadership development and effective diversity, equity & inclusion strategies.
