I often talk about the difference between getting people to comply to something and, and the results that you get from compliance which for me at times means I’m going to just enough to get by.
I’m going to meet the threshold requirement versus getting people committed to something which is how can I be the best at what I can be? And how can I improve and how can I take it to the next level? The energy level of a committed workforce of a committed group of people towards the mission of what we’re trying to ah, get accomplished is significantly greater, different and everything else that defines it than the energy with how I’m going to comply to something.
And when you are working with a workforce who clearly are exhibiting the commitment to what we’re trying to accomplish, people are more creative, there’s higher levels of energy and there’s more of a willingness to go the extra mile for the good of the whole of what we’re trying to create.
