Macollvie J. Neel is a writer and communications consultant with nearly 20 years of experience in journalism and corporate communications. She is adept at using the right storytelling approach and tools to tie communications to strategic goals.

At Gagen MacDonald, Macollvie leads thought leadership and executive communication projects. She specializes in executive visibility strategies, ghostwriting for C-suite leaders and audio storytelling within an integrated content marketing framework.

Prior to joining Gagen MacDonald, Macollvie planned and implemented communications strategies for Fortune 500 companies in her roles as both a management consultant and an in-house advisor to senior leaders at Disney, MetLife and Mercer HR Consulting. As a director of communications at Disney and Metlife, Macollvie focused on executive and internal branding communications to support transformation initiatives. As a consultant, she developed an array of employee communication strategies and led implementations for top brands. Macollvie started her career as a journalist with The Haitian Times and the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, and has worked on select projects, such as the award-winning “Feet in Two Worlds: Immigrants in a Global City” documentary aired on NPR. Macollvie uses this expertise to develop content for select organizations whose work benefits the communities closest to her. She also volunteers with several organizations that aim to elevate communities of color, women and immigrants.
