Erika has more than 20 years of corporate and consulting experience helping companies improve internal communication, navigate change, build connections, and enhance the employee experience. Known for her empathetic and strategic approach, she believes effective internal communication has the transformative power to link values to behavior, strategy to results, and recruitment promises to fulfilling employee journeys.
From uncovering what employees want to know to helping new leaders communicate, combining company cultures, or bringing a strategy to life, Erika has advised clients in the professional services, consumer packaged goods (CPG), pharmaceutical, manufacturing, hospitality and nonprofit industries.
Before joining the Gagen MacDonald team, Erika was an independent consultant and leader in Golin's internal communication practice, where she partnered with clients and led teams to build strategic communication programs that informed, equipped and engaged employees.
Prior to consulting, Erika managed communications at Deloitte and advertising agency DDB. At Deloitte, she communicated the firm's strategy and talent initiatives to partners and employees. At DDB, she managed media relations and internal communication.
Erika earned her bachelor's degree in communication from Michigan State University.
