Kayla Elkin is an experienced marketing and content specialist, leveraging her background in content and storytelling to support marketing messaging across channels including email, website, podcast and social media. As a marketing specialist for Gagen MacDonald, Kayla brings a human-centered approach to her work, balancing strategy with empathy to ensure content resonates with our audiences. She has a proven track record of developing inbound and engagement campaigns, boosting online visibility and converting prospects into clients and evangelists.
Before joining Gagen MacDonald, Kayla served as content marketing manager at Code Platoon, a non-profit organization focused on veteran education and tech workforce training. There, she played a pivotal role in improving website SEO, built email marketing campaigns from the ground up with highly-personalized copy and automation workflows in Hubspot and contributed to marketing reporting and analytics projects. She also helped manage a full website relaunch.
Prior to Code Platoon, Kayla worked in marketing and events coordination for an edtech company, where she created persuasive copy and managed webinars and virtual conferences. She holds bachelor's degrees in English and Sociology from Clemson University, where she received the Charles Manning Furman Prize, awarded to the graduating student with the highest scholastic achievement within the English major.
