With more than 30 years of marketing and communication expertise, Kimberly has advised leaders in Fortune 500, higher education, Department of Energy and Department of Defense organizations. She has deep experience in change and transformation, culture and employee experience communication.

In her role at Gagen MacDonald as the Chief of Staff, Kimberly is responsible for supporting and delivering the CEO’s priorities within the firm and externally with key clients and stakeholders.

Previously, she served as the Chief Communications Officer (CCO) at the United States Air Force Academy, a four-year undergraduate university. In this role, she worked for the university president and led a team of over 100 public affairs, communication and marketing professionals.

In a previous role, she was Chief Communications Officer for CH2M, a global Fortune 500 engineering, consulting and construction firm. Kimberly led marketing, branding, communication and employee engagement for a diverse company with 28,000 employees on six continents.

In parallel to her career in corporate communication, she also served as a Colonel in the United States Air Force Reserve, where she held positions such as Director of Public Affairs (military title equivalent to Chief Communications Officer) at Air Force Reserve Command and United States Strategic Command, and Deputy Director of Air Force Public Affairs, serving the Secretary of the Air Force in the Pentagon.

Kimberly has a Bachelor of Science degree in English from The United States Air Force Academy. She also earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Washington in 2006. In 2010, she and her Air Force teammates won the coveted "Best of Silver Anvil" Award. In 2018, she was nominated into the Arthur W. Page Society, an organization for selected marketing and communications experts who represent the top leaders in corporate reputation management.
