The Holmes Report has named Guardian Life Insurance, DuPont and Gagen MacDonald finalists for the 2017 North AmericaSABRE Awards.

The SABRE Awards celebrate excellence in public relations and recognize superior achievement in branding, reputation and engagement. This year, more than 2,000 entrants are competing for the prestigious honors.

Employee Communications

Guardian Life Insurance and Gagen MacDonald earned recognition as a finalist in the Employee Communications category for the “Guardian on the Go — Transitioning to a New Way of Working” initiative. The bold program established a global standard for flexible work and is helping Guardian employees transition to, and work productively in, a mobile work arrangement. Centering around a GPS-style pin on a map, the creative campaign encompassed an all-in-one presentation with digital assets. The pilot program met with overwhelming success: 92 percent of participating employees were satisfied with “Guardian on the Go”, and 100 percent of surveyed managers felt supported throughout the launch and implementation.

Chemicals and Industrials

DuPont, along with Gagen MacDonald and Think Marketing, is being honored as a finalist for its “Journey to Three: Driving Performance through Ambiguity” program. The initiative focused on keeping retention at consistently high levels and increasing employee/leader engagement, as the company announced its intent to merge with Dow and subsequently divide into three independent companies. Through the creation of enhanced communication channels and measurement, relevant content and transparent delivery, DuPont increased its reach with employees building trust and confidence, with an 18 percent increase of employee understanding in the change journey in the first 12 months of the initiative alone.

A well-respected panel of communications executives from companies such as IBM, JetBlue, Ketchum, MillerCoors and more selected the finalists for the SABRE Awards. The winners will be named at an awards ceremony on May 2 at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City.
